The editor of Investors Chronicle (Rosie Carr) gave a useful editorial summary of where the Government might raise taxes in last week’s edition. She concluded with these remarks:
“All of the above are suppositions. But investors must expect to be clobbered one way or another, and regardless of the consequences. A failure to encourage investment in businesses and savers’ own future financial security would be a terrible mistake, but such warnings may count for nothing in the dash to fill in the black hole”.
I fear the Labour Government is full of ministers who have never run a business or been an entrepreneur. So we will get dogma leading the Government by the nose.
